Service to others: a pillar of our Catholic Mission

Catholic-Newman-Center-Service-Trips

Service trips are a way to get out of our “bubble” and respond to needs beyond our own communities. Our Newman Center has facilitated many services trips, typically over Spring or Fall Break, and sometimes with a few traveling opportunities in between.

While service to our own community is vital, responding in charity to a crisis area can open our eyes to the needs of others. Traveling to a town that was devastated by tornado damage to clean up, repair and plant new trees; or an impoverished county to serve dinners at soup kitchens and organize a mission thrift store: these are opportunities to be Christ’s hands and feet to others.

Our service trips are fun, safe, and life-changing. Consider dedicating one of your breaks to traveling with us and serving others with a charitable heart.
