Fellowship groups combine faith and fun with friends you can relate to.

Our Center facilitates fellowship groups that come together to discuss topics ranging from spiritually deep reflections, to pop-culture favorites. They meet to hang out and share life together, and often plan events and excursions that can help you break out of the routine of the class-homework-dinner-netflix grind.

Just a note, the previously loved “Daughters of Light” women’s group has been replaced by FOCUS-style Bible Study groups for young women! Our Newmanites love these women’s groups, which you can learn more about on our Bible Studies page.

Peter’s Pyros

Salt & Light

Catholic-Newman-Center-Peter's-Pyros“Once a Pyro, always on Fire!” The Men’s group gathers every Monday at 8:00 for great discussions and fun times.  We discuss what it means to be a man as well as various aspects of our faith. An excursion (retreat) each semester allows us to reflect where we came from while enjoying the outdoors.

Meets: Mondays at 9:00 pm at Newman

Catholic-Newman-Center-Salt-and-LightWe’re a Catholic Christian coed fellowship group at Truman State University. We gather every week to discuss issues about the Catholic Church, to deepen our faith, and to strengthen our relationship with God.

Everybody is welcome to join us in our journey to be the Salt of the Earth and the Light of the World: “You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned? It is no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father” (Matthew 5:13-16).

Meets: Tuesdays at 7:00 pm at Newman
